LightBulb HotLine Becomes EnergyHotwire

11/14/2003

Picture
With many Americans not realizing they are wasting up to 70% of the energy they consume and don't know that they can annul the situation, we realized a serious “what-to-do” web site was needed. Other Web sites that are available for energy savings don’t really go into details or offer “real-time” answers or they have a conflict of interest.

Back in April of 2001, EnergyHotwire.com stepped in to replace our Light Bulb HotLine site. At the end of 2001, EnergyHotwire.com started to work on a stronger effort to present energy saving data. On every Earth Day since then, we add more details to our web site to meet our Mission:

To teach details about lowering energy bills, not entertain
or scratch the surface with tidbits of tips.
One of our goals is to cover energy and environmental saving topics from the basement to the attic and help individuals determine which information pertains to their house’s specific situations. For Corporate America, Institutions, and Organizations, we hope to help redirect them away from all the misinformation being fed on becoming "green".

Our ultimate goal is for all of us to make a difference and a lasting positive impact on our wallets, our world’s environment and our children’s future.

Dedication:
To our children and grandchildren:

So that our efforts today are appreciated tomorrow, because we did not leave the problems created by our parents and us for our children to solve at the eleventh hour.

The author, L. J. Williams wrote,
"Just give me the seeds and I will produce for you a thanksgiving feast." - LJW 1985

Thank you,
Bill Lauto

How To Save Money & Oil

5/10/2002

By Just changing light bulbs and/or one inefficient major appliance, you will not only save yourself money, but drums of oil for America!

One high efficient energy saving bulb, over its lifetime, saves almost half a drum of oil!
Below is an example of a house that realizes an electric bill savings of $ 762.28 in one year after implementing some recommended steps. The total yearly energy savings was well over $1,400.00 when all the energy saving steps we recommended were taken.

Payback for the entire investment cost that obtained these savings was less than 2 years!

Three Days Passed

9/14/2001

The time of three days has passed, the sky above is empty and silent. There is a distinct void of planes in the air and even God’s birds are still and quiet. There is an unwelcome feeling surrounding our existence, as if we are all trying to dissolve the lingering effect of a strong sedative.

The outlook of a promising future for the world that began when the Berlin wall came down, has now been shredded from our hearts. Americans face a deceitful evil once again, one not seen since the bombing of Pearl Harbor when my father went to defend freedom.

For three days we reached out by all possible means to our friend and firefighter, Ben. For three days we waited and prayed. This morning we received a one line email:

I am safe - I cannot describe the devastation I have seen, I wait to see all of you again soon.

Our friend with the fire department is still with us, but our neighbor who was with the police never came home.
Ben Cotten, NYC Fire Department, 9-11, September 11Meeting Again After 9 - 11
From this despicable attack and tragedy, I have witnessed one strong fact…

We are all one, we are all brothers and sisters. I have seen neighbors that held issues against each other, helping each other to display their American flags, with a light, 24 hours a day.

I know when driving on rural country roads, just passing another car with a stranger, a friendly hello wave will occur. This type of occurrence in any shape or form never happens in a city or heavily populated areas. That is no longer a true statement today. People I don’t know are waving to everyone in passing cars, they are stopping and waving other cars to go ahead of them. People are holding doors open for others while supporting words such as thank you, you are welcome, I hope your family is all safe, and God Bless, abound.

A powerful fact has been awaken in America, we are not one or the other, we are not part of them or one of those. The United States of
America is a conglomerate of everyone from around the whole world. We are one, one people, one team, one country. We are truly one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I just pray that this undeniable fact is never lost, forgotten or trashed.

God Bless you and God Bless all of us,

Updated:
Paraphrased Email from September 14, 2001 to friends in the Midwest which they read that November to all their family and friends around the Thanksgiving table when giving thanks to God.

    Bill Lauto, Environmentalist, Energy Consultant
Bill Lauto came on the scene in 1981 to present facts and teach details about how we can save our environment without making  sacrifices. He demonstrated how correctly implementing the technology we already obtained in 1981, allowed us to save Money, Energy and Earth. He voice was one among the few who taught green facts long before anyone else talked about sustainability.
       Bill Lauto's Credentials
By 1994 the Internet was being explored as a tool to provide energy saving information to all of America by Mr. Lauto. Having the foresight, he first launched the Light Bulb HotLine web site off of the company's Domain in 1996. Then in April of 2001, EnergyHotwire became a resource. Today,
GoingTrueGreen.com presents decades of info to dispel mis-information and provide the facts about truly Going True Green.
