Residential Energy Management Program
The four classes in the program are:
- An Energy Efficient Home at March 22, 6 to 8pm
- Energy Efficient Lighting - March 22, 8:15 to 10:15pm
- Appliances And The Energy Factor - March 29, 6 to 8pm
- The Environment Around Your Home - March 29, 8:15 to 10:15pm
The program is taught by Bill Lauto a consumer energy specialist with a degree in environmental science who was responsible for overseeing the Energy Conservation programs for LILCO's residential consumers to save them money and LILCO hard kilowatt hours. Mr. Lauto's extensive background in energy saving lighting, co-generation and our environment, comes from working with North American Philips, LILCO, Hempstead Resource Recovery and Equitable Environmental Health.
Classes are open to students and the public. Anyone interested in registering can call 348-3325 for additional information.
