The SL-18 bulb has been around for three years now and the long awaited R-40 shape flood light and Decorative Globe join in to help save money, energy and Earth.
The Latest Cutting Edge Lighting Technology
The electronic ballast (aka: transformer) offers silent operation and no interference with radio or television reception three or more feet away from the bulb.
These bulbs use a blend of natural earth phosphors that produce light color virtually identical to that of the old incandescent light bulbs. All SL-18 bulb designs use a meager 18 watts of electricity. Compared to standard light bulbs the use 75 watts. This represents a fast payback in about 2,500 hours of use. The bulbs will last 10,000 hours compared to only 750 hours for incandescent bulbs.
