In a test program New York City is going to evaluate if closing parts of Broadway to traffic will help reduce accidents, save lives, save gas, save time, save energy, and help save our environment by reducing pollution. Results will not be known for awhile, but some say this test is a long time over due and hope for positive results. Especially, since these areas of Broadway have accident rates 144% higher than any other street in Manhattan.
One thing is for sure, it was a beautiful evening and the event made for a beautiful picture of New York's Times Square, taken by myself... Look at all the people!
