Additional Details on the SL*18 Flood Lights
SL*18 Flood The SL*18 watt R40 Flood Light Reflector is designed specifically for the high-hat ceiling fixture, but please note that they do not work well on dimmer switches. A dimmer will cut into the 10,000 hour life of the SL*18 bulb.
This 18 watt Flood Light has a highly efficient fluted reflector and produces 800 lumens of light output, which is brighter than the 750 lumens of light from a 75 watt PAR38 flood and close to the 850 lumens of a 75 watt R40 incandescent flood. Additionally, a 76% savings in energy costs will be realized. Then along with the SL*18 flood's color temperature of 2700K and a CRI (Color Rendering Index) of 82, converting bulbs over will show no change in ceiling appearance.
