My presentation was in the old Reading Room with some furniture and rug from circa 1927. Honored to be one of the speakers at an excellent program last Tuesday for OceansWide organization at Caumsett State Historic Park. Teachers from multiple school districts came on their day off to attend presentations the provided them with credits for Professional Development Accredited by STEM Hub.
My presentation was given twice on Sustainable Practices and Environmentally Conscience inside the Marshall Field the third's mansion. I explained how key concepts in science education can connect to sustainable practices and environmentally conscience decision making. From appliances in our own kitchen to solar energy. Industry's trade secrets were shared, stories told and facts presented.
