The outlook of a promising future for the world that began when the Berlin wall came down, has now been shredded from our hearts. Americans face a deceitful evil once again, one not seen since the bombing of Pearl Harbor when my father went to defend freedom.
For three days we reached out by all possible means to our friend and firefighter, Ben. For three days we waited and prayed. This morning we received a one line email:
I am safe - I cannot describe the devastation I have seen, I wait to see all of you again soon.
Our friend with the fire department is still with us, but our neighbor who was with the police never came home.
We are all one, we are all brothers and sisters. I have seen neighbors that held issues against each other, helping each other to display their American flags, with a light, 24 hours a day.
I know when driving on rural country roads, just passing another car with a stranger, a friendly hello wave will occur. This type of occurrence in any shape or form never happens in a city or heavily populated areas. That is no longer a true statement today. People I don’t know are waving to everyone in passing cars, they are stopping and waving other cars to go ahead of them. People are holding doors open for others while supporting words such as thank you, you are welcome, I hope your family is all safe, and God Bless, abound.
A powerful fact has been awaken in America, we are not one or the other, we are not part of them or one of those. The United States of America is a conglomerate of everyone from around the whole world. We are one, one people, one team, one country. We are truly one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I just pray that this undeniable fact is never lost, forgotten or trashed.
God Bless you and God Bless all of us,
